Initiating Agreements
Renewing Agreements | Terminating Agreements | Back to International Partnerships
International Agreements formalize GSU partnerships with institutions abroad. The Guidelines and Procedures for International Cooperation Agreements contain the university's guidance for entering such relationships.
Faculty members, i.e., "Program Directors" typically initiate the preparation, renewal and termination of international agreements and associated programs. This is done with assistance from their colleges and university "Approving / Support Units".

Information for Exchange Program Directors
- Use of Program-Specific Agreements
Program-Specific Agreements should be developed for student and faculty exchange programs, academic programs, collaborative research, technical cooperation/assistance programs and other agreements establishing programs or projects. This format is necessary in order to document details of the partnership, and to serve as a resource guide to aid support and problem-solving for individual programs/projects.
- Annual Program Directors Meeting
Each year in October, a meeting of Student Exchange Program Directors is held to review and discuss issues impacting the implementation and management of their exchange programs. The meeting provides a venue for interaction and exhange of information and ideas among program directors and representatives from support units including Universty Housing, Financial Aid, International Students and Scholar Services, Legal Affairs and Study Abroad Programs.
