The mission of the office of Administrative Assessment is to ensure that administrative and support units throughout the University can maximize their effectiveness by a) engaging in meaningful self-assessment of their performance in executing their functional responsibilities; b) utilizing their assessment results to develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement in that performance; and c) ensuring that University-wide policies related to administrative and academic functions are transparent and effective.
This work enhances the university's institutional effectiveness as well at its accountability to its stakeholders and accrediting bodies. The Office of Administrative Assessment:
· guides administrative and support units through mandatory annual and longer-term assessment processes;
· provides training and consultation on assessment methods and tools;
· provides the University with reports on assessment compliance; and
· coordinates the documentation, clarification, and modification of University policies and procedure, and ensures that policies and procedures are accessible.
