At Incept, you will be introduced to the people, places, processes and programs that can get you off to a good start at Georgia State and help you successfully transition into the university community. And when you leave, you’ll be registered for your first semester of classes! Your Incept leaders – Georgia state students – will assist you throughout the day. They want you to ask questions, have fun and get to know Georgia State. There’s a lot to take in, so be ready for a jam-packed experience.
We have several Incept options to choose from so you should be able to find a conference that’s tailored to your needs and convenient to your schedule, whether you’re a new freshman, transfer student, parent or guest.
Each Incept conference will follow a pre-set schedule that ensures students, parents, and guests get the most out of their Incept day. Upon arrival, students and guests will receive a detailed schedule in their check-in bags. These schedules are useful and should be referred to often as students and guests attend separate programs at various times in the day.
Seeing the confidence of the Incept team, as well as hearing the knowledge that they had gathered, gave me the courage to start talking to other people in the room. It was only my second time in Atlanta, and I didn't have an acquaintance to stand next to. Incept soothed my fears about leaving home and joining this new community. Incept made me believe in my ability to succeed in a place where I had to build a new support system during a time of rapid transition.
