
Students must register and complete Math and Chemistry placement exams, if required, before attending Incept. Note:
Students in programs that require MATH 1111 (College Algebra) or higher must take the math placement exam, which will assess your skills and place you in an appropriate math course. Certain test scores serve as a prerequisite for entry into College Algebra, Pre-Calculus and higher. The math placement exam is not required for students registering for Math 0098, 0099 or 1101. No fee is required for taking the exam the first time. Please have your Panther ID number available at the time of taking your exam.

For those taking math placement exam for the Fall 2012 semester, all sessions will be held in the Commons Mile at 8 a.m. or 11 a.m. on the following dates:

Chem 1211K (Principles of Chemistry) is required Biology and Chemistry majors, and to qualify for this course you must pass the chemistry placement exam – unless you have an AP chemistry score of 2 or better, an SAT subject score of 600, or have completed a college-level chemistry course.

Students wishing to enter the following fields or majors are required to take the exam: Medical, Dental, a PA program, Pharmacy, Veterinary, advanced Physical Therapy school. Students planning to attend Nursing school do not need to take the chemistry placement exam, but should register for Chem 1151K.

No fee is required for taking the exam the first time. Please bring non-programmable calculator, two No. 2 pencils and your Panther ID number.

Before taking any foreign language class higher than 1001, you will need to take the language placement test. For French, German, and Spanish, the test is offered online here; for other languages, contact the Modern and Classical Language Department at 404/413-5930.
Math and chemistry placement exams for students entering in Fall 2012 will be administered at The University Commons MILE located at the corner of Piedmont and Ellis Streets, Atlanta, Georgia 30303 unless otherwise noted.
Parking at Georgia State is limited and you are encouraged to use public transportation. The closet lot the testing site at the Commons MILE is a public parking lot not affiliated with Georgia State University (across the street from the Commons MILE lab).
