There are many events that occur within an employee/family life situation that require particular attention beyond the normal employment and benefit issues.  Depending upon years of service, an employee may accrue up to 14 hours a month of vacation and 8 hours a month of sick leave. This accrued time is available for vacation and /or illness of the employee or immediate family member through the Family Medical Leave Act. An employee may also obtain a degree at any level through our Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) while employed with Georgia State University.  These are among many options available on the university level of employment.
