Human Resources Administration provides a wide variety of services and functions to the units and groups that collectively make up the Department of Human Resources, as well as manage and coordinate HR departmental initiatives campus wide. We are committed to providing services to the GSU community with integrity, a dedication to customer service, and strong leadership. We meet the needs of customers internally and externally by developing and implementing various programs in such a way as to create and maximize synergy across the university.

The Classification and Compensation Office coordinates the University's staff job-classification process.

The Office of Employee Development and Wellness Services (EDWS) is a Human Resources unit responsible for oversight of the internal Employee Assistance Program (FASA), Work/Life Resources, and Worksite Wellness Program geared toward serving a diverse workforce at Georgia State University.

ODCS endeavors to develop meaningful collaborations across campus with deans, directors, and other business leaders to help support their initiatives and create environments that support data-driven decision making while being mindful of the human capital critical to achieving their goals.

The Office of Staff Recruitment and Retention exist to help Georgia State University further its mission by finding, attracting, hiring and retaining the best and the brightest talent. This is done through the partnership of two offices that comprise Staff Recruitment and Retention:

Staff Recruitment- Payroll Services
The Payroll Office issues more than 100,000 payments each year to approximately 10,000 faculty, staff, and student employees of Georgia State University.

- The Benefits office provides benefits administration and consultation services for employees, retirees, and their dependents.
