Students are responsible for cleaning their own rooms. University Housing custodial staff regularly clean the common areas in each residence hall. In no case will the custodial staff take out the trash or  clean individual student apartments. Students must take their trash to the hall dumpster or trash chute. Apartments must be thoroughly cleaned upon departure. If an apartment cleaning service is required an additional fee will be charged. Every residence hall room is subject to a comprehensive deep cleaning once each year.
