The Lofts History
The University Lofts, which opened in August 2002, began as a joint venture between the University Foundation and TUFFS, a private corporation with University Housing managing the day-to-day operation of the Lofts. The original vision for the Lofts was to serve primarily graduate students and students with families and to serve a more diverse student population the benefit of on-campus living, minutes from class. “Urban living at its finest” is the slogan for the Lofts. Loft style living includes concrete walls, exposed duct work and piping, and polished concrete floors in the apartments.
