How To Apply

Attention:
Currently, we are only accepting Fall 2013/Spring 2014 Housing applications from students that currently reside in one of our residence halls. If you are new applicant for Fall 2013/Spring 2014, please apply after January 31, 2013.

Complete the Online Housing Application:

  • Application Selection – select the term for which you are applying
  • Housing Agreement – Read contract thoroughly before accepting
  • Pay online with credit/debit card (Visa, American Express, Discover or Master Card)
  • Print last page for your records (Payment Receipt)
  • All students under 18 will need to print out the Housing Contract and turn it into the Central Housing Office signed by both the student and a parent or legal guardian after completing the online application.

There are no deadlines to apply for housing.  However, spaces and specific room types are limited. Room Selection will depend on the date and time you apply for housing. University Housing encourages students to apply for housing, complete the housing application and pay the non-refundable $375.00 Room Reservation Fee. 

Please note: $325 of the Room Reservation Fee will go toward payment of the Fall Semester room cost.

Upper Class Students:
Current Residents, Current Georgia State Students, and Transferring Students that are not classified as Freshman:
Current residents, current students, and transferring students that are not classified as Freshman will be allowed to select a room and participate in Simple & Advanced room selection following their application /contract received date. Simple & Advanced Roommate Search and Room Selection for upper class students will occur on the following dates at noon:

Incoming Freshman:
Students who submit their application prior to June 3, 2013 at noon:

Room Selection:
June 17, 2013 at noon - June 28, 2013 at noon.

Parking Information for University Commons and Piedmont North:
Parking application will open to all residents on July 1, 2013. To complete a parking application, login to MyHousing, select Personal Preferences, and complete your vehicle information.

How can I participate in Advanced Roommate Search and Room Selection
Rates are subject to change and are based on a per bed rate. All housing and parking fees are due before the start of the related semester when tuition and fees are due or immediately following an assignment being accepted if the semester has already started.

After a new or returning resident completes an on-line application, pays their Room Reservation Fee, eligible students will have the ability to choose the Residence Hall/Living Space where they wish to reside. Room selection is based on eligibility and availability. Once beds are filled you will be notified by e-mail and placed on a waiting list. Advanced Roommate Search allows you to search for a compatible roommate(s) using specific traits or characteristics.
