University Assistantships

Each fall, the Honors College identifies high-ability incoming freshmen to participate in the University Assistantship program. Selected students are matched with a department or office of interest, providing an opportunity for students to work on special projects or research. For example, students assist professors with lab work associated with their research, work in instructional labs, or participate in ensemble performances. Students in the assistantship program typically work 8 hours per week for the entire academic year, earning a total stipend amount of up to $2500.
