Ese Okuma

Ese Okuma, a Presidential Scholar in the Honors College while attending Georgia State University, had her choice of attending top law schools in the country when she graduated in 2009.  She finally decided on the University of Virginia.  During her first year, she was one of two law students selected for the prestigious Hardy Cross Dillard Scholarship.  She also became president of the Black Law Students Association and interned at the ACLU of Georgia during the summer.  Ese continues to embody the characteristics that led to her selection as a Presidential Scholar at GSU: academic excellence, leadership, and service to the community.
