Erica Jamison attended GSU from 2001 to 2006 and graduated with degrees in both Film in Journalism.  During her last year at GSU, she took a Community Based Film class in which students were instructed to work with underrepresented communities of the Georgia population.  Through this class, she founded MINT, a nonprofit arts organization whose goals are to provide exhibition space, curatorial opportunities, workshops and classes, and other resources for artists of all skill levels and backgrounds.  MINT has worked with over 200 artists, hosted more than 60 exhibits and partnered with numerous organizations such as WonderRoot, BurnAway, Young Blood Gallery and Boutique, WE Design, Dance Truck, and WhiteSpace.  Through MINT, she also co-founded Gather Atlanta, a conference aimed at supporting and promoting Atlanta's diverse arts community, and Leap Year, a mentorship program for emerging artists.  MINT has been voted Best Underground Art Space and received readers awards for Best Exhibit in a Gallery and Best Opening from Creative Loafing.  In 2011, the organization was the recipient of grants from Possible Futures and from the Fulton County Arts Council.
