The menu on the left side of the screen provides each of the following functions, all of which are available to you from any screen once you have logged in.
Home : takes you to the first screen your students see. To go to the
input screen, login again with your email and password.
Help? : opens this window
Edit home page : allows you to edit the content on the first screen your
students see. Enter assignment description in the text boxprovided and click
"go". What you have written will be saved, and also viewed by students who go
to your page. You can edit the content as often as you like, and you can use
html to format the text.
Email : opens a blank email addressed to all of the students who have
signed up.
Create assignments : allows you enter the name, grade weight, level of
formality, description, and due date of individual assignments. Click go
when you have entered your assignment; you can go back later and edit your assignments
from the edit assignments tab on the left.
Grade assignments :
Edit assignments : allows you to edit or delete assignments.
Clipboard : allows you to type once phrases you write often in the margins
of student papers. You can use the follwing three commands:
Rubric: the rubric is a set of conventions for analyzing student
writing. The categories provided are suggestions, and you can use them, or develop
your own rubric.
E.G. assignments : provides a list of some common WAC like writing assignments. Choose from among these or create your own. If you do create your own, keep in mind that an effective writing assignment is:
Add to Clichés : allows you to add a phrase to the list of clichés
that the style checker uses. If you want your students to use the style checker,
it's a good idea to show them how it works and what it is for. If you want the
director of WAC to provide assistance, contact him or her.
Add to redundancies : allows you to add a phrase to the list of redundant
expressions that the style checker uses. If you want your students to use the
style checker, it's a good idea to show them how it works and what it is for.

Empty chat log: this link allows you deletes the saved text,
or log, created when you participate in an internet chat session.
