Student E-mail
As part of your network account, Georgia State University has partnered with Microsoft to provide you with an easy-to-use e-mail system. The university, by policy, may send official correspondence to your Georgia State e-mail address, which you are responsible for reading.
You MUST login to PantherMail, the new student e-mail system, to receive your official university e-mail messages. It only takes a few minutes to set up your account and get started.
Here are some important things to remember about the system:
PantherMail
Please read the instructions on Getting Started before launching PantherMail. Your initial login for your PantherMail is your complete student email address including the @student.gsu.edu, and the password is your nine digit panther number.
Faculty/Staff E-mail
GroupWise 7 is the e-mail system used by Georgia State University faculty and staff. There are two ways of accessing your GroupWise e-mail. You can download the client and use it on your local workstation or you can access your e-mail on the web via WebAccess.
Features of GroupWise 7
- WebAccess - The WebAccess interface now looks and functions more like the Windows client.
- Work in Progress Folder - This allows you to save drafts of items to be finished later.
- Name Completion - The Name Completion feature finishes addresses from your Frequent Contacts Address Book.
- Right-click Menus -You can right-click on a folder or item to see a menu of commonly used functions and options.
Need help with faculty and staff network and e-mail accounts? Contact your Local Network Administrator. If your area doesn't have one, contact the IS&T Help Center at (404) 413-HELP (4357) or at help@gsu.edu. GroupWise is the e-mail system centrally supplied for faculty and staff.
