Virtual Private Network

If you use or need access to the university's network when away from campus or to use wireless (the CatChat), Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) provides instructions for using Georgia State's Virtual Private Network (VPN) to help secure your connection. A Virtual Private Network creates a private communications channel within a network infrastructure that prevents the communication from being interrupted or read by someone else online.

GSU students, faculty and staff can use the campus VPN from any location with Internet access to check e-mail, retrieve archived messages, access shared folders, print to network printers and more. VPN settings are available for both PC and Mac computers (including iPad, iPhone and iTouch).

Please Note: If you already have the VPN client installed, you do not need to re-install it.
