Healthy Sexuality
World AIDS Day
Each December (around December 1), the Department of Student Health Promotion acknowledges World AIDS Day with free HIV Testing, and educational programs on HIV/AIDS, including how to protect yourself from transmission (safer sex) and how HIV/AIDS affects different communities, including our own.
Condomgrams
Each February, on or around Valentine's Day, the Department of Student Health Promotion hands out a safe sex valentine with condoms, candy, and a card. We also offer information about the different sexually transmittible infections and how to protect yourself from contracting them.
AIDS Quilt Display
This National treasure, which has also been declared as the largest piece of folk art in the world, goes on display in the Student Center for one week, every other spring term. The Quilt is a beautiful piece of art that honors the lives of those who lost their lives to AIDS. We always accept requests for individuals who want us to order a particular quilt or panel.
National HIV Testing Day
Are you positive you’re negative? On this day, which occurs each June, the Department of Student Health Promotion provides free, confidential HIV testing and educational information on HIV and AIDS.
