The Georgia State University Health Clinic is available to take care of acute illness. Our board certified providers are able to provide treatment and management of non-life threatening acute illnesses. Appointments are recommended, however if you are ill and need to see a physician urgently,you may come in on a walk- in basis. Appointments can be made by calling (404) 413-1930.

The Georgia State University Health Clinic provides Sports Physical Clearance for our athletes. It is a specialized, focused health assessment which screens for orthopedic or medical problems that could potentially harm the student athlete.They are offered by appointment only at: (404) 413-1930.
The Georgia State University Health Clinic provides study abroad physicals and immunizations review for students studying aboard. They are offered by appointment only at: (404) 413-1930.
The Georgia State University Health Clinic provides immunizations such as the flu, Meningococcal, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis A, Tetanus/diphtheria, Varicella. No appointment is needed when visiting the Immunization Clinic.
Discussion of your health care needs should be discussed with your provider prior to traveling abroad. Completing a complete physical and dental exam, evaluating your health insurance for overseas coverage, adequate prescription medications, update on your immunizations will be evaluated.
At the Georgia State University Health Clinic, we can administer IV fluids directly into your veins if for some reason you are unable to take fluids by mouth. A very common reason for administering IV fluids is due to dehydration.
There are times that you may need to be referred to specialists. If you have the school insurance, we can refer you to specialists in the area. If you do not have the school insurance, we will work with your primary care provider and your insurance, to insure that you are referred to the appropriate specialists.
We do not have a pharmacy in the clinic. We do offer prepackaged medications at a nominal fee to the student. We can write a prescription for your medication and you can then take it to a local pharmacy to have it filled.
