Georgia State University will undertake the construction of three outdoor sand  volleyball courts meeting NCAA standards for their new Women’s Sand Volleyball program.  The site for the project is currently utilized as tennis courts and a portion of a parking lot. The courts will serve as both the practice and competition facility for the team.   The project will be the first phase of a multi-phase project to construct an indoor and outdoor Volleyball complex as called for in the Athletic Department Master Plan.

This project includes, but is not limited to:

• Three(3) Outdoor Sand Volleyball courts with required configurations and clearances for NCAA competition play.
• Infrastructure for competition level court lighting systems to be installed as part of later phase.
• Planning and infrastructure as required for temporary and permanent seating as part of later phases.
• Planning and infrastructure as required for “press tent” to serve the outdoor courts.
• Planning and infrastructure as required for future project phase structure that includes concessions, restrooms, and offices for volleyball coaches and staff.
• Planning for accessibility and access control for spectators coming to watch competitions.
