Excelling at Excel
Learn your way around the Excel window and discover the purpose behind each menu, toolbar, and all those "little boxes" known as cells. You will talk spreadsheet terminology, explore, Help; Opening and navigating; Closing; Creating; Entering and editing; Formulas; Saving and updating; Moving and copying. Are you familiar with absolute reference? Ranges; Functions; AutoSum; AVERAGE, MIN, and MAX; Formatting and AutoFormat; Printing; Page Setup; and Charts. You will learn about conditional formatting which makes it possible to apply a format only if a certain requirement is met! After this class you will know the four Fs of Excel -- formatting, fills, functions/formulas, and filters...tools that help you create effective and clear spreadsheets.
Prerequisites: Microsoft Windows Fundamentals or equivalent knowledge. If you are new to Excel or uncomfortable with creating formulas this should be your first class.
