Q:  Why is my room cold in the mornings? (winter)

A: Units are shut down when there is no activity to conserve energy.

Q: What's wrong with my air temperature?

A: Call us and a technician will check for problems with the heating/ cooling system.

Q: Why does my breaker trip?

A: Various electronic appliances (heaters, etc) place loads on existing circuits that were not designed to handle the demands of increased power.

Q: Why is it so difficult to get recycled papers picked up?

A: Economic demands have resulted in greatly reduced personnel and fewer vehicles available for use to pick up recycling bins and other equipment to cover the increased volume.

Q: How long does it take to get an item hung on the wall?

A: Routine items such as hanging a picture can take up to 10 days depending on the work load ahead of your request.

Q: How long does it take to clean a room or shampoo carpet?

A: Normally 3 - 5 days depending on the work load and accessability to the room.

Q: How do I reserve tables & chairs for an event?

A: E-mails should be sent to Elgie Ogburn, India Vincent and Corliss Baldridge with details such as time, date and location of the event, the number of chairs, tables or podiums, the style of the set up you are requesting, how long the event will be and your name, department and phone number.

Q: Where do I fax move and/or surplus requests?

A: Move requests are sent to 404-413-0710 and surplus requests are sent to 404-413-3168 or 404-413-3171.

Q: Once I submit a move/surplus request, how long before they will come to move it?

Move requests must be submitted at least 10 days before you need the move to take place. During peak seasons, it may be longer than that, depending on their work load.

Q: I called because my room was too hot/cold, and I did not see anyone come to make the adjustment.

A: Many of the classrooms and office are monitored and can be adjusted from maintenance offices. Staff does not need to come to the individual room to correct the problem.
