State Relations
The Office of State Relations develops and strengthens relationships between Georgia State University and government officials; ensures that the university's strategic goals receive state recognition and support; informs the university community on local, state and federal government matters; and serves as the official point of contact for governmental constituencies.
In fulfilling its role, the Office of State Relations seeks to:

Develop university policies for addressing government affairs

Mobilize alumni and friends to communicate university priorities with state legislators and government officials

Maximize university access to and influence in local, state and federal government

Provide an official point of contact for local, state and federal government officials

Recognize, monitor and influence legislation important to university goals and operations

Communicate important legislative news to the university and external community.
