By the People occurs every Wednesday during the Georgia General Assembly's session. On a weekly basis, the American Civil Liberties Union of Georgia teams up with other progressive organizations to (a) introduce citizens to legislation before the General Assembly, (b) teach citizens how to meet and talk with their legislators about general issues and specific legislation that concerns them, and (c) give citizens a tour of the Capitol.
