Georgia State University requires that all international documents (transcripts, marksheets, certificates, leaving examination results, etc.) be formally evaluated by an independent evaluation service. Our admission packet includes the application for the service we feel best meets the needs of the applicant and Georgia State.

GSU Preferred Evaluator
Applicants must submit the attached application (pdf to silny app.) which corresponds with Josef Silny & Associates, Inc., along with a fee for the document-by-document evaluation (required for first time university students) or a fee for the course-by-course evaluations (required for students with previous university attendance). Fees from overseas must be in the form of an International Money Order.
Applicants must also submit official transcripts, diplomas, and certified English translations to the evaluation company. If using Josef Silny & Associates, Inc., original documents will be returned to the applicant if a self-addressed, stamped envelope is included with the application for evaluation.
While Josef Silny & Associates, Inc. is the preferred evaluator of Georgia State University, evaluations will also be accepted from other National Association of Credential Evaluation Services, Inc. members including:
