Receiving Aid
The award amount of your financial aid is based on your enrollment status, classification (undergraduate or graduate), residency, housing arrangements and outside aid received (GRA, scholarships, etc.). Notify the Office of Student Financial Aid of any corrections or changes to this information to prevent incorrect disbursements of your aid.
If you do not accept all or part of the awards within 15 days of the date of your award letter, all awards will be canceled for the entire year.
Your award can be canceled or reduced if circumstances occur which require such action. Please review the award contingencies in Maintaining Aid for details.
William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan
If you are awarded a William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan that you wish to accept, you must accept our award at the Office of Student Financial Aid. If you are required to sign a promissory note, you will be mailed a promissory note that must be signed and returned to the Office of Student Accounts, Direct Student Loan Program, P.O. Box 4058, Atlanta, GA 30302-4058.
Usually checks are mailed out by Student Accounts 10 working days after you have submitted a complete, signed promissory note to the Office of Student Accounts, but no sooner than grades from the previous term have been reviewed by the Office of Student Financial Aid. Failure to submit your promissory notes to Student Accounts within 30 days will result in cancellation.
