Q: What is a web portal?
A: A web portal is simply a point of access to information which provides personalized capabilities to its visitors and easy access to desired content. Portals are accessed by logging on with a personal ID and password.
Q: PAWS is the name of Georgia State’s portal. So what is Luminis?
A: Luminis is the software platform which provides the framework for Georgia State’s portal, PAWS. For a short while you may hear Luminis and PAWS used interchangeably as more people learn about the PAWS project.
