International Student Aid
Generally, you are an eligible non-citizen if you are:
- a US permanent resident and have an Alien Registration Receipt Card (I-551)
- a conditional permanent resident (I-551C); or another eligible non-citizen with an Arrival-Departure Record (I-94) from the US Immigration and Naturalization Service showing any one of the following designations; "Refugees", "Asylum Granted", "Indefinite Parole", "Humanitarian Parole", or "Cuban-Haitian Entrant"
If you fit the eligibility requirements listed above you should be eligible to receive federal financial aid. Please return to the Financial Aid section and continue to learn about what aid is available to you and how to apply.
If you are in the US on only an F-1 or F-2 student visa, or only a J-1 or J-2 exchange visitor visa, or a G series visa (pertaining to international organizations), you will not be eligible to receive federal financial aid. Since you are not eligible to receive federal financial aid, please take a moment to review what alternative financing options are available to you as an international student.
