GSU 1010 New Student Orientation
GSU 1010 is designed to retain new students and help them make a successful transition to university life. The course will provide students with essential information about the academic demands of the University, its rules, procedures, and resources, and will introduce students to academic, social, and personal, "survival skills" that contribute to academic success. The course curriculum will encourage students to establish supportive relationships with peers and faculty and will help them become part of the academic community. Students will read and learn about study strategies, group dynamics, Georgia State University history and policies, Atlanta history, nutrition, and urban pollution.
