Applying for Aid
Students seeking financial aid should complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Entering freshmen should complete it as soon as possible after January 1 of your senior year in high school. Applications are processed and results are sent to the institutions you list on the FAFSA.
After submitting your application, a Student Aid Report (SAR) will be mailed to you in about 2 to 3 weeks. The SAR is your FAFSA results. Be sure to read it immediately, and follow any directions it has. The schools you list on the FAFSA will also receive results. Electronic filing of the FAFSA can result in a 7-day processing period.
