Outstanding seniors from a high school in Early County, Georgia or transfer students from Bainbridge College are eligible to apply for this award.  Applicants must have at least a 3.5 GPA at time of application, demonstrate a strong commitment to their community, and show an interest in the field of Gerontology (students may  major in any field, but must minor in Gerontology).

The Rice Scholarship provides a $10,000 annual stipend for college expenses not covered by HOPE.  The award is renewable for up to four years.
