Employment Authorization
F-1 students should never work without appropriate authorization. Though eligibility for on-campus employment is immediate, work off-campus requires special authorization. Information about the details of on and off-campus work is provided below. Please use the Employer's Guide to Hiring International Students to help educate your employer regarding Curricular Practical Training as well as Optional Practical Training. Note that all off-campus work authorizations require attendance at an ISSS Employment Workshop.- On Campus Employment
