Out-of-state tuition waivers allow international students to only pay in-state tuition rather than the considerably larger out-of-state tuition. International Services has 20 waivers each semester for the entire international population. Priority for the waivers is given to those students with the most demonstrated financial need who are also within one or two semesters from graduation. Students are not eligible until you have been at Georgia State for at least one year. In rare cases, academic departments may have a few waivers for undergraduate students who meet certain criteria, but it is not common.
