Out-of-State Tuition Waivers for International Students
Students on an F-1 or J-1 visa may make a request to International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) for an out-of-state tuition waiver based on financial need. Waivers are extremely competitive. Consideration is given to those students with the most demonstrated financial need who are also within one or two semesters of graduation. Students are not eligible until they have been at Georgia State for at least one year. Watch your Georgia State email account for the International Services Newsletter each month containing information on the deadlines for next semester’s applications.
If the waiver request is recommended by ISSS, the student's request must go before the university's Waiver Selection Committee for consideration. If approved for a waiver, the student will be notified by International Student and Scholar Services.
