Undergraduate Teacher Education Students
If criteria for entry into Teacher Education have been satisfied, it is not necessary to obtain authorization to register for the 3000/4000-level teacher education courses (designated “TE” in the current Georgia State University Undergraduate Catalog). Authorization will be automatically entered on the registration system.
Note: Departments reserve the right to place additional authorization requirements on Teacher Education courses. Students are required to obtain additional authorization for these courses. Please be aware, however, that meeting the criteria for authorization for a teacher education course does not guarantee a place in the course. If you have not been cleared for entry into Teacher Education, you must see an adviser, before registering. (Note: Arts and Sciences students should contact their advisers in 724 General Classroom Building.) All majors in education should contact the Office of Academic Assistance, 300-ED, 404/651-2539.
All other authorizations must be obtained from the department that offers the course. Contact the appropriate Office, as follows:
