Scholarships
Each of the scholarships offered by The Office of Disability Services are available to students with cognitive and physical disabilities who are registered with our office. Students are chosen based upon their eligibility, financial needs, and academic achievement. Award amounts vary depending on the number of applicants and the availability of funds.

- Margaret A. Staton
- To apply for the Margaret A. Staton Scholarship, an applicant:
- Must have a documented physical disability and be registered with the Margaret A. Staton Office of Disability Services at GSU.
- Preference is given to female students with disabilities.
- Undergraduate students must have completed at least one full semester at Georgia State be full-time equivalent and have maintained a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
- Graduate students must be accepted into or currently participating in a specific graduate or professional program at GSU, be a ful-time student and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Qualified students must have applied for Federal Financial Aid and have a copy of the Student Aid Report.
- All interested students must fill out the Margaret A. Staton Scholarship Recommendation Form, and submit at least three to four recommendation forms or letters to ODS, to be reviewed with your application. - Bennett A. Brown
- To apply for the Bennett A. Brown Scholarship, an applicant:
- Must have a documented language based learning disability (a learning disability which substantially limits your ability to read, write, or comprehend spoken language) and be registered with the Office of Disability Services at Georgia State University.
- Must be an Undergraduate or Freshman student who has completed at least one full semester at Georgia State University.
- All interested students must fill out the Bennett A. Brown Scholarship Recommendation Form, and submit at least three to four recommendation forms or letters to ODS, to be reviewed with your application. - All applications and forms must be filled out completely.
