Practicum Requirements and Application Process

General and Advanced Practicum Requirements (subject to change):

6 client contact hours per week
1-2 initial assessments per week
1 hour of individual supervision per week
2 hours of group supervision (practicum class) per week
2-3 outreach programs per semester

Please note that there is a mandatory orientation for all practicum students (general and advanced) which is typically held during the 2nd or 3rd week of August each year.

Application Requirements:

Applicants must have completed a minimum of one year of supervised clinical experience. This experience must include direct counseling along with clinical (not administrative) supervision.

Application Procedures:

Please submit the following by the deadlines stated below:

    • Brief cover letter addressing your interest in the practicum

    • Current Vitae

    • Names and contact information for 3 references that are familiar your clinical work.
