Counseling Center

Crisis Services

The Counseling Center is open for emergencies from 9:00 - 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, as well as 5-8 pm on Tuesdays during the semester and 9:00 a.m. to 5:15 during semester breaks.

If your son or daughter is in a crisis during our business hours, he or she does not have to wait until an initial assessment appointment can be scheduled for him or her (which may be a few days later).

If you believe your son or daughter is in a crisis and feel she or he must be seen immediately, call the Counseling Center at (404) 413-1640 and ask for the senior on-call counselor.

Your son or daughter will be asked to complete some paperwork when they come to the center; however if he or she feels unable to do so due to being in significant distress, he or she may complete it later.

For help during the Counseling Center's non-business hours, call the 24-hour crisis line at 1-800-715-4225.
