Crisis Services
The Counseling and Testing Center is open for emergencies from 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday, Thursday and Friday and 8:30 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday during the semester and 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 during semester breaks.
If your son or daughter is in a crisis during our business hours, he or she does not have to wait until an initial assessment appointment can be scheduled for him or her (which may be a few days later).
If you believe your son or daughter is in a crisis and feel she or he must be seen immediately, call the Counseling and Testing Center at (404) 413-1640 and ask for the senior on-call counselor.
Your son or daughter will be asked to complete some paperwork when they come to the center; however if he or she feels unable to do so due to being in significant distress, he or she may complete it later.
For help during the Counseling and Testing Center's non-business hours, call the 24-hour crisis line at 1-800-715-4225.
