APPIC Application for Psychology Internship (AAPI)

The application was created with input from APPIC internships site and APA-accredited academic programs in the United States and Canada and, as a result, requests information about a wide range of clinical experiences and assessment tools. There is no expectation that an intern applicant will have experience in all clinical areas or with all assessment instruments listed, or is licensed as a mental health provider.

This application (AAPI) is formatted so that it may be completed on a computer. If more space is required to provide information (e.g., your address) please create the space needed. Internship sites may also require site specific information from you to supplement the AAPI.

You can get a copy of the AAPI application form from http://www.appic.org (click AAPI online)

The Georgia State University Counseling and Testing Center requires additional application questions in order to help us get a sense for who you are and how you think about people.

Interview

Interviews are by invitation only. By December 15th, finalists will be contacted by phone or e-mail and offered their choice between a telephone interview and an in-person interview.
