General (Beginning) Practicum

Introduction

The General Practicum is a beginning level practicum that is primarily available for GSU students who are currently enrolled in the Counseling Psychology program at Georgia State University. Counseling doctoral students and Clinical Psychology doctoral students are also welcome to apply (if space permits). The practicum focuses on building beginning clinical competencies in students. Specific attention is given to the development of one's theoretical orientation, as well as the "use of self" as an instrument of change. This practicum carries a two-semester commitment beginning in August and ending in May of the following year. Instructors for the practicum are Dr. Sandrine Bosshardt and Dr. Pegah Moghaddam.
