Correspondence/Independent Study
The Independent Study Program is designed for students who are participating in distance learning / degree efforts with another school. The Testing Office offers a quiet, relaxed atmosphere and a flexible schedule. The testing staff will be responsible for maintaining security of exam materials, carefully checking identification of students, and administering exams according to specific guidelines set by each institution and professor.
Independent Study exams are administered from 9 a.m. through 4 p.m. Monday - Friday throughout most of the year. These exams are available for Georgia State University and non-Georgia State University students on an appointment basis only. The cost is $15.00 per hour of testing time used (payment must be in form of check or money order). Fees are higher for programs located outside of the country. Students should contact Frances Wood at (404) 413-1738 for scheduling a testing appointment. Photo identification is required for admission to take any examination.
