Taking the Math Placement Test

This page contains information on the Math Placement test for those students who:

1. Wish to retest on the math placement test to improve a previous math placement test score; or
2. Are currently enrolled as a student at GSU and wish to determine which math class to take during the next semester.

The test is not offered on an individual/appointment basis. Those students who wish to RETAKE the math placement test ($50 fee applies) or who are currently enrolled and need to TAKE the math placement test (no fee) should plan to test at one of the dates and times listed below.  Students should not attempt to schedule an appointment or register through GoSolar for the following dates. Testing on these dates will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis.  Students are required to bring their Panther ID in order to test.  Those who are retesting should also bring a check or money order in the amount of $50.00 payable to GSU.  Testing on these dates is not offered for INCEPT orientation purposes.  Registration for the Math Placement test for INCEPT is through GoSolar or PAWS.

Location: Counseling and Testing Center, 2nd Floor, 75 Piedmont Ave. (Across from University Commons at the corner of John Wesley Dobbs and Piedmont Ave.)

Please bring:

1. Photo ID
2. Panther ID number
3. $50.00 check or money order made payable to GSU for re-testing (cash, credit/debit cards will not be accepted).
