Robin Casey, Psy.D.

Dr. Casey is a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Counseling & Testing Center. Robin is a Georgia native; she earned her B.A. in Psychology from Georgia State University and her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University in Atlanta. Throughout her graduate training, Robin has worked in an outpatient eating disorder center and several university counseling centers. Robin recently completed her pre-doctoral internship at the College of William and Mary Counseling Center. Robin’s therapeutic approach is culturally informed and she draws upon brief-dynamic, interpersonal, and emotion-focused theories to help students explore their presenting concerns in greater depth and work toward positive change. Robin has a strong commitment to working with university students with particular interests in family/relational concerns, trauma, identity development, life transitions, disordered eating and substance abuse concerns.

Marcée M. Turner, Ph.D.

Dr. Turner is a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Counseling and Testing Center.  She received her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Notre Dame.  Marcée also completed her Pre-Doctoral Internship at the University Counseling Center at Florida State University.  She earned her B.A. in Sociology from the University of Iowa, M.Ed. in Counseling and Personnel Services from the University of Maryland, and her M.A. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Notre Dame.  Her professional interests include individual, couples, and group therapy focused on multiculturalism, college students particularly first-generation college students, trauma, grief, and interpersonal relationships.  Her therapeutic approach is grounded in humanistic theories which integrate multicultural and interpersonal perspectives.

Alessandra Urbano, Ph.D

Postdoctoral Fellow | Email

 

Dr. Urbano is a postdoctoral fellow at the GSU Counseling Center.  She received her doctorate in counseling psychology from the University of Georgia. Her professional interests include trauma, addiction, disordered eating, emotional distress and/or disconnection, and group therapy.  Dr. Urbano’s therapeutic approach is emotion-focused and insight-oriented, and draws heavily  from cognitive-behavioral, multicultural, and relational theories. Outside of work, Dr. Urbano enjoys traveling, hiking, and spending time with friends and family in the northeast.
