Nutrition Services

Individual nutrition counseling, classes and nutrition seminars are offered by a Registered Dietitian and Georgia State Nutrition graduate students under the direction of a Registered Dietitian through the Mind-Body Clinic.

Services Offered (including but not limited to):

Mindful Eating:  A seminar offered multiple times during the semester focusing on:

  • Eating intuitively and mindfully
  • Eating consciously to support a healthy state
  • Recognizing hunger and fullness signals
  • Having a healthy relationship between mind, body, and food
  • Using effective strategies for managing stress and busy times with Healthy Eating 
  • Managing “Dorm Room Eating”
  • Developing strategies to prevent Disordered Eating

Classes and Special Programs in cooperation with the Fitness Center:

  • Food Demonstrations
  • Managing Stress with Healthy Eating 
  • Dorm Room Eating
  • Prevention of Disordered Eating
  • Shopping and Eating on a Budget

Individual Nutrition Counseling:
Short-term Individual Nutrition Counseling services available by appointment only:

  • Disordered eating
  • Weight management
  • Diet analysis/three-day food record analysis
  • Mindful eating

Special dietary needs such as, but not limited to:

 Food allergies Diabetes Hypertension 
Pregnancy & Lactation  Celic Disease   Elevated Blood Lipids Levels
