Cap and Gown

Students who indicate on their graduation application that they will attend the commencement ceremony will be required to purchase regalia from the Georgia State University Bookstore.

At the December 2009 Commencement, the University introduced regalia that is customized with royal blue trim and the University's logo. In addition, all Bachelor participants will wear a custom satin stole. All degree candidates planning on participating at commencement will be expected to wear the new Georgia State University custom regalia, which is only available through Herff-Jones.

Candidates who do not pre-order regalia should attend the Commencement Fair where students can order their cap, gown and hoods.  At the Commencement Fair, candidates will be required to give measurements for their regalia. More information will be sent to the degree candidates by the midpoint of their scheduled semester of graduation. If students change their minds and decide to attend the ceremony, they should notify the Graduation Office at 75 Piedmont Avenue, Suite 1190, no later than semester mid-point. Bachelor students who have earned university honors will receive the honor cord through the Graduation Office at the Commencement Fair.
