Purchase Online

Cap and Gown

Students who indicate on their graduation application that they will attend the commencement ceremony will be required to purchase regalia from the Georgia State University Bookstore.

Candidates who do not pre-order regalia should attend Commencement Fair where students can order their cap, gown and hoods.  At Commencement Fair, candidates will be required to give measurements for your regalia. More information will be sent to the degree candidates by the midpoint of their scheduled semester of graduation. If students change their minds and decide to attend the ceremony, they should notify the Graduation Office at 231 Sparks Hall by no later than semester mid-point. Baccalaureate students who have earned university honors will receive the honor cord through the Graduation Office by the end of the semester.

Hoods
Ph.D. candidates will be hooded during the commencement ceremony. You may purchase your hood through the Georgia State University Bookstore.

Chappell Studio is the official photographer for ceremony photographs. Professional photographs will be taken of each candidate as they process during the ceremony. A proof of the photograph will be sent to the candidate's home address as it was listed through the Graduation Office. Chappell Studio will also take portraits in the House and Senate Salones in the Student Center during Commencement Fair.
