We are excited to announce that the Confucius Institute at Georgia State University has been named the 2012 “Confucius Institute of the Year” by Hanban/the Confucius Institute Headquarters. The award was announced and given during Hanban’s annual World Confucius Institute Conference in Beijing in December 2012. Out of about 400 Confucius Institutes and about 500 Confucius Classrooms, only 26 Confucius Institutes and 4 Confucius Classrooms were bestowed this most prestigious award and rare honor.
