On October 26,2011, Dr. Leonard Blusse, a well known Chinese history professor from Holland, visited and gave a talk at Georgia State University. Jointly hosted by the GSU Asian Studies Center and the Confucius Institute, this lecture added an interesting dimension to our lecture series on Chinese culture. A comparison between the Yangzi River delta and the Rhine delta a topic that has not received a great deal of attention from researchers interested in China, intrigued the GSU audience.
