Georgia State University is committed to building a unique, highly visible, and long-lasting business-oriented Confucius Institute that provides comprehensive services for promoting Chinese language and culture, that fosters intercultural exchange between China and the U.S., and that serves as a one-of-a-kind resource center for local business communities in metro Atlanta and the State of Georgia in establishing or furthering business and trade relations with China.
Under such a mission statement, our Confucius Institute will have three distinct foci: 1) to provide targeted, business oriented Chinese language and culture instruction for the business community, 2) to promote Chinese culture through various activities, and 3) to offer Chinese language instruction for the non-business sector.
