Curriculum Vitae (CV)
A vitae sometimes referred to as a CV (curriculum vita) is commonly requested for academic and administrative positions in higher education. A vitae is most often used by job seekers looking for teaching positions in a college or university setting. A résumé and CV are not the same, the vitae is an elaborate presentation of a résumé. The contents of a vita include factors that are more important to educational institutions. A vitae may contain the following headings:
- Educational Background
- Relevant Work Experience
- Listing of
- Publications or Creations
- Papers Presented at Conferences
- Professional Association and Service
- Special Awards or Honors, and
- Recent and Current Research
