Cancellation Policy
Cancellation of an interview must be made by 5:00 pm three (3) business days prior to the interview day by calling (404) 413-1830. Cancellations after this time are considered late cancellations. Students who cancel late must speak to the Campus Recruiting Coordinator who will make the final decision as to whether a late cancellation is recorded as excused or unexcused.
A student who misses an interview without giving the recruiting staff prior notification is considered a no-show. No shows and students who have an unexcused late cancellation will be immediately suspended from the campus recruiting system.
To lift the suspension, the student must bring a typed letter of explanation and apology addressed to the employer, along with a stamped, addressed envelope, within five (5) business days, to the Recruiting Coordinator for approval. The letter must be in proper business format and contain no errors. DO NOT SEAL THE ENVELOPE.
Upon acceptance of the letter the student’s access to the campus recruiting system will be reinstated. This procedure will address one incident of an unexcused late cancellation and/or no show. A second incident, or failure to respond within five days, will result in permanent revocation of UCS registration in Panther Career Net as well as some UCS services, including campus recruiting privileges.
A student whose registration has been permanently revoked may re-apply at any time for re-instatement by taking the following action:
Email a request for an appointment with the Associate Director, Angela H. Walker at ahwalker@gsu.edu. The letter should detail the circumstances which resulted in the revocation of registration and reasons why the student believes the registration should be reinstated.
The Director or her designee will contact the student as soon as possible but no later than 10 business days after receipt of the letter to set up an appointment. After the meeting the decision of the Director will be final. Failure to appear for the meeting will also result in denial of the request.
