I chose to attend Georgia State University because I love culture, jobs are around every corner and I enjoy being in cities. The endless opportunities for internships and jobs have made me enthusiastic for the rise in the economy. I was the only one from my school coming here and was skeptical about making friends. I have found greater friends than I could've imagined.
Campus Activities and Organizations: I am a member of the Beta Kappa chapter of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity. I have recently become involved with our philanthropy and organization. I have applied for many more roles in organizations on campus for next year. Wish me luck!
Most Memorable Georgia State experience: My first week of college. I never thought I would have ever had the chance to meet so many great people in such a short amount of time. And so much free stuff!
If you could be a cartoon character, who would you be and why? Otto Rocket from Rocket Power. He lives on the beach and surfs all day with his best friends! He doesn't listen to stereotypes; he is happy how he is and is proud of the family/friends he has. And c'mon, everybody remembers the "woogidy-woogidy" handshake.
Favorite Georgia State tradition: Rubbing Pounce's nose for good luck. We all need good luck every now and then. And also, GSU Basketball!
What advice would you give to incoming students? 1) ALWAYS do extra credit. 2) Use resources frequently: the Library, Teaching Assistants, Rec Center, etc. are all free! Use them! 3) Get Involved! 4) Be opened minded. Different cultures have different traditions and beliefs. Just because you don't have the same beliefs and opinions doesn't mean you can't enjoy each other’s company.
After I graduate from Georgia State, I hope to have close relations with all the people I have met, find a well-paying job in my field of study, move to the beach and enjoy the rest of my life.
