Georgia State University is located in the heart of downtown Atlanta. Follow these directions to get to GSU’s Welcome Center located on campus in Dahlberg Hall.
Take the Georgia State MARTA Station, which is on the East/West line. Exit the station onto Piedmont Avenue and walk right. Go to the second traffic light and turn left on Gilmer Street. Walk to the first light and turn right on Courtland Street. Enter Dahlberg Hall on the right and the Welcome Center is located through the sliding doors on the first floor in Suite 134.
The following directions will take you to visitor parking in M-Deck. Cost is $7 per car. Metered parking around Dahlberg Hall is available at your cost and discretion, but is not guaranteed. Please enter M-Deck through the visitor entrance; NOT the pass holder entrance inside the deck. After you park following any of the below directions and exit M-Deck, enter Dahlberg Hall, which is located next to M-Deck. Go up a small flight of stairs to the first floor. The Welcome Center is in Suite 134.
Exit at #246 (Central Avenue/Fulton Street). Bear to the right on the exit ramp following the signs to Fulton Street. At the light, turn right on Fulton Street. At the next traffic light, turn left on Capitol Avenue. Pass the Capitol Building and go straight. Capitol becomes Piedmont Avenue. Go through the lights at Decatur and Gilmer Streets. Make the next left on Auditorium Place. Pass the parking deck on the left and turn left into the open driveway to the visitor parking area.
Exit at 249 A (Courtland Street/Georgia State University), a one-way street. Go through seven traffic lights, crossing Edgewood Avenue (the seventh light) in the second lane from the left. Get into the left lane and, after a very short block, turn left on Auditorium Place. Take the next right, which is an open driveway behind the building on your right (Dahlberg Hall), to the visitor parking area.
Exit at # 56 B (Spring and Windsor Streets). Go straight to the third traffic light and take a left on Central Avenue. Take a right on Decatur Street (the second light past MLK Jr. Drive). At the second traffic light turn left on Piedmont Avenue. Go through the light at Gilmer Street and make the next left on Auditorium Place. Pass the parking deck on the left and turn into the open driveway to the visitor parking area.
Exit at # 58 A (Capitol Avenue). Take a right on Capitol Avenue. Pass the Capitol Building and go straight. (Capitol becomes Piedmont Avenue.) Go through the lights at Decatur and Gilmer Streets. Make the next left on Auditorium Place. Pass the parking deck on the left and turn left into the open driveway to the visitor parking area.
Highway 78 becomes Ponce de Leon Avenue upon entering Atlanta. Follow Ponce de Leon to Juniper Street and turn left. Go through twelve traffic lights, crossing Edgewood Avenue (the twelfth light) in the second lane from the left. Get into the left lane and, after a very short block, turn left on Auditorium Place. Take the next right, which is an open driveway behind the building on your right (Dahlberg Hall), to the visitor parking area.
